Rewards Program

BYU Independent Study offers an incentive program that awards each school one free course for every 10 paid enrollments, during one school year, by students in their school. Earned scholarships expire September 1st of the third school year after being earned (i.e. scholarships earned in the 2009-2010 school year will expire September 1, 2012.

Counselors may choose from any of the courses below:

Textbooks

Some of these courses require a textbook purchase by the student. Counselors and students should refer to the complete course description before registering for any course. They may also review the content of these courses by going online to the course description page and selecting the course syllabus or view Web course link.

How to Enroll

School counselors may wish to award one of these courses to a student with a financial hardship, schedule conflict, academic interest, and so forth. To enroll a student using the Rewards Program, the counselor will need to call registration with the student enrollment information and indicate that they wish to use the Rewards Program.

Counselors may call our Educator and Counselor Support phone line (800-259-0172) to inquire as to how many scholarships they have earned.

Withdrawal

Students enrolled using the rewards program may withdraw without paying the withdrawal fee and the scholarship point will be returned to the school�s account.
