Introduction to Art
Description:This is a foundational art course that includes the study of art history, art production, and art criticism; students are introduced to several art movements and prominent artists to discover their influence on art today. Students also visually express themselves by applying learned production skills to various projects.

Paper Courses:Assignments for this course can be submitted online or by mail, email, or fax. If you do not have reliable internet access the optional course packet includes bubble sheets to be mailed.
Notes:Students must furnish basic art supplies: 8 ½" x 11" drawing paper, colored construction paper, watercolor paper, colored tissue paper, tracing paper, drawing pencils, a kneaded eraser, colored pencils, crayons, X-Acto knife™, watercolor paint, and paintbrushes. These are relatively inexpensive materials that can be found at any arts and crafts store.
