This is a foundational art course that includes the study of art history, art production, and art criticism. The influence of prominent artists and several art movements will be introduced to students. Students also visually express themselves by applying learned production skills to various projects.
Students must furnish basic art supplies: 8½" x 11" drawing paper, colored construction paper, watercolor paper, colored tissue paper, tracing paper, drawing pencils, a kneaded eraser, colored pencils, crayons, an X-Acto knife™, watercolor paint, and paintbrushes.
