This course will help you build language skills—speaking, hearing, reading, and writing—at a basic level and broaden your understanding of Korean culture. You will learn to understand and communicate simple ideas in the Korean language. By the end of the course you will be able to talk about parties, conversations with professors, living in a dormitory, family relationships, and conversations on the telephone.
Students will need access to a computer with high speed Internet access, a microphone, speakers (or headphones), and a webcam. There are no resubmissions or retakes on course assignments. On speaking appointments, the lowest score may be dropped with the exception of the final speaking appointment. You must complete the speaking appointment in each unit before you can move on to the next unit. You must pass the final exam and the final speaking appointment in order to pass the course.
Due to the nature of this course’s learning outcomes, the exams are only available in a paper format. Please plan for shipping time.
