This course meets the requirements for 9th Grade English, Part 1. It will help students develop reading and writing skills, think critically, and express themselves effectively. Students will learn how to conduct research and organize and present information. They will also learn new vocabulary and review grammatical concepts. Overall, this course is meant to be a foundational course. There are several writing assignments, such as a poem, a short story, a cause-and-effect research project, an expository essay, and others. This is the first course in a two-part Ninth-Grade English series (ENGL 041 and ENGL 043). This course also encompasses Common Core content.

Important: This is a new Teacher-Led course that is being offered at a reduced tuition rate in exchange for student’s feedback. Besides the normal assignments and assessments, this course also contains surveys to help us improve the course experience for future students. Students must complete multiple surveys to progress through the course.
